Audiences are likening it to a ‘bad American Idol audition.” Super Bowl Liii has come and gone with it, another Super Bowl halftime show performance. The game was fairly uneventful with one of the lowest scores in SuperBowl history. However, it is the halftime show has everyone talking.

People called the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show one of the most boring halftime shows of all time Maroon 5 and their co performers, Travis Scott and Big Boi. The NFL struggled to find acts due to the surrounding Colin Kaepernick with kneeling during the National Anthem in 2016. Also there were an petition over the internet that drew over 115,000 signatures for Maroon 5 not to perform.

During the performance Super Bowl Sunday, Maroon 5 performed their set with lead singer Adam Levine singing “Girls Like You, Sugar, etc.”front of millions people at home and thousands on stage.

Travis Scott starting to sing his big hit “Sicko Mode” from his studio AstroWorld which is the best part of all the performance in the halftime show.

Finally, representing Atlanta rapper Big Boi came out performing wearing a fur coat on stage and pumping up the crowd until the end of the show.

But now the recording of the show is trending on YouTube at number one over 600,000 dislikes versus 60,000 likes that shows that everyone hates the show so much.

Because of the injustice of the NFL treated Kaepernick in 2016 and a lot people decided to boycott in protest of injustice in the United States and the NFL.

Vic Oyedeji, the founder of the #TakeAKnee petition for Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi, created the petition to remove them from the halftime show and support of Kaepernick.

“The stage represents what it represents, but as long as Kaepernick isn’t signed to the NFL, any artist that believes that he took a knee for the right reasons shouldn’t perform,” Oyedeji said.

Adam Levine shares his side of performing at the halftime show with everyone speaking about his opinions on the issues to Entertainment Tonight before the performance.

“No one put thought and love into this than I did …I spoke to many people, most importantly through, I silenced all the noise and listen to myself, and made my decision about I felt,” Levine said.

Levine talk, about what he felt about the whole process and opinion on the NFL halftime show. He has to decide what is best for him and Maroon 5 in the future. Also they will donate almost half a million dollars to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America after the performance.

Artists like Taylor Swift, Drake, Justin Bieber, or BTS, etc are artists that can get everyone excited and pay tickets to even to go to the games. Hope next year the halftime show be more and exciting to watch than this year.
