From “Victorious” to Victorious

From starring on Victorious to being a world known pop star is Ariana Grande. Grande started her career starring on a popular Nickelodeon show. Later on in her career she began appearing more often on shows and movies like SING! and Pretty Little Liars. Around the end of 2013 she came out with her first studio album “Yours Truly”. Subsequently, realising “My Everything”, “Dangerous Woman”,”Sweetener”, and her most recent album “Thank U, next.’

The story behind Grande’s most recent album is very sentimental. From a terrorist attack in Manchester to the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, it shows that after the tragic events life had brought to her life, she overcame and became a greater person, showing the world to embrace themselves no matter what they are going through at the moment.
The first single to be released from the album was ‘thank u, next”. A song speaking about how she learned to move on from her past to bloom into who she is now. The song had debuted at the number one position hours after being released.

Another great part about the song is the music video she had recreated movie scenes from “Mean Girls”, “Bring it On”, “Legally Blonde”, and “13 going on 30”. Also having many celebrities playing roles like Gabi Demartino, Colleen Ballinger, Troye Sivan, Jonathan Bennett and the list continues.

After a month that her number one hit had been released, she released a two other songs Imagine and 7 rings. Imagine being a peaceful song. While 7 rings had a whole different vibe to it. The song 7 rings had caused a lot of controversy for many Grande fans.. Many people agreed to the fact that Grande made them feel like they couldn’t afford certain things. Many others argued that a world known pop star should not be rapping. It is not what she was meant to. Yet, the song reached the top charts in no time.

Following a month of teasing an upcoming album she released it February 8, 2019. Fan favorites are “Needy”, “NASA”, “7 rings”, “Ghostin” and “Fake Smile”. Every song evolving to a strong woman. The song that hit the fans the most was “Ghostin” a similar version of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s song “Cinderella”. The song spoke about how she was with someone although she loved someone else, even though she could never be with that person again. When Grande said “He just comes to visit me. When I’m dreaming now and then,” in the song “Ghostin”, she was referring to Mac Miller watching her from up in the sky.

In conclusion, this had to be Grande’s best album watch her grow into this new person. Yes, the past hurts but it’s best to grow out of it. This is the main point she teaches the fan base with this new album. To empower and learn from everything life throws at in our way. This is a must hear album.

“I am really grateful- I love what I do. One of my favourite things about it is being able to have an impact on my fans’ lives, and to be there for them- to know that what I’m creating is helping them in some way. Even if it’s just making me feel empowered when they’re getting ready in the morning, helping them through a heartbreak, or finding something they love about themselves. I think about them with everything I create,” said Grande.
