It’s been a year since the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna. The Mamba has been missed and many people have contributed to tributes to the late NBA star.

Although Bryant was born in Philadelphia, he spent his early years in Italy after his father ended his NBA career and chose to play overseas. After graduating high school, Bryant returned to Philadelphia and went straight into the NBA.  Named the youngest All-Star in NBA history in 1998, and Bryant became the MVP in 2008.

“The beauty of being blessed with talent is rising above doubters to create a beautiful moment.” – Kobe Bryant

Friends, family and supporters miss the NBA legend. There is no doubt that Bryant has inspired many lives and influenced some of today’s players like DeMar DeRozan (San Antonio Spurs), Isaiah Thomas (Washington Huskies), and even non NBA players like Bad Bunny. Bryant captured the support from many people with his wise words and spectacular skills.

“This is the moment I accept the most challenging times will always be behind me and in front of me.” – Kobe Bryant

One of the outstanding traits Bryant had was fearlessness. Plenty people know when playing sports your chances of being injured increase. When playing basketball there are so many challenges and complications that could happen. In his basketball career, Bryant suffered from 22 different injuries, yet, he continued to follow his passion. He knew challenges and barriers would come in his career and remained head strong.

The moment you give up, is the moment you let someone else win.” – Kobe Bryant

Not only did Bryant prevail through injuries, but through losses in games. Not every game is a win, there are losing games just as much as winning games. However, Kobe did not sit feeling miserable because of a lost game. He continued to practice and improve his playing skills. This is another attribute that Kobe had that inspired people everywhere and this is why Bryant remains an inspiration to people everywhere.

“It’s the one thing you can control. You are responsible for how people remember you—or don’t. So don’t take it lightly.” – Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant may not live at this moment, but his memory and legacy will for generations in the minds and hearts of his family, friends and fans who remain inspired by the Mamba.  Bryant remains respected and will be remembered as a man who was fearless, driven, and passionate about what he did in his short accomplished life.
